Public Liability Insurance is something you’ll need to sort if you’re a business. As it, best protects the business if any of its clients or members of the public were to suffer personal injury or property damage whilst dealing with the business.
Such public liability insurance cover could pay for the costs of subsequent legal expenses and/or compensation claims made. It’s a very important type of insurance cover which businesses need to sort, especially those which interact regularly with customers.
Customers slipping or tripping over is probably one of the most common accidents which businesses can face, and quite often such instances can result in a public liability insurance claim being made against the business.
Public Liability Insurance should not be confused with Professional Indemnity Insurance, as individually they provide different insurance cover, and often businesses will take out both policies
So if you don’t have public liability insurance, you’ll ideally need to sort it sooner rather than later, as prevention is better than the cure. Knowing you need to sort public liability insurance and not doing so, is not a saving, especially if you ever need to make a claim.
